Fire! Fire!

As I strolled past the Royal Albert Hall this morning to get the bus I noticed that the Apartments next door were on fire.
There was smoke but no flames, and a few people stood around watching.
I hoped to myself that no one was hurt and carried on to the bus not thinking much more of it.

That was at 10.55 am

It's now 9.55 pm and the blaze is still going.

The whole of Prince Consort Road has been closed off at both ends, and about 20 Fire Engines line the street.
There are more on the other side of Kensington Gore which has also been closed off by the Police, along with the Royal Albert Hall.
I've never seen such a big fire.
There are massive Halogen lights in place to light up the area so that the 100 or so fire fighters can continue tackling the blaze into the night.
Also there was a Breathing Apparatus Major Incident truck, a Scientific Support Unit truck, and several other specialist vehicles.

Luckily apparently no one has been hurt.
